Professional Profiles
I'm a media relations and communications strategy consultant, specializing in business, A/E/C (architecture, engineering and construction), nonprofit, hospitality and restaurant and commercial real estate public relations.
I love to help people tell their stories. I work with you to craft a public relations plan that meets your strategic business goals and gets desired results.
Services include public relations, media relations, thought leadership, press releases, media training, crisis communications, social media strategy and creative approaches to events and grand openings.
As a seasoned journalist and communications professional, I've worked with the leading publications, corporations and nonprofits in the Southeast and nationally for more than two decades.
Current clients include major developers and construction companies working on some of the Southeast’s largest and most iconic projects, a state government agency, national nonprofits serving veterans and fighting for civil rights, a local and growing restaurant chain and an international company seeking to grow its U.S. footprint with consumer products. I am a female-owned PR firm and have a network of associates to give you a full suite of services.
My experience includes a decade in public relations and more than a dozen years as a journalist after starting my career in public affairs. I believe in both giving back and sharpening my tools to learn more about urban planning and land use in our cities.
I'm an alumna of the Urban Land Institute's Center for Leaders, past president of the Atlanta Press Club, past board member of Central Atlanta Progress and the Rialto Center for the Arts, past president of my condo association where I managed a multimillion dollar annual budget and am the current president-elect of the Real Estate Group of Atlanta.
Prior to founding TobinInk., I worked at full-service marketing communications agency Jackson Spalding, where I led the national media relations and commercial real estate teams and was a core member of the crisis team. I also led accounts ranging from tourism, economic development and architecture to a major consulting firm, a large law firm and a regional bank. Other clients included a major league baseball team, a celebrity chef and a luxury shopping center.
As a journalist, I was a staff reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle and Daily Report. My beats included the state Capitol, the airport, Delta Air Lines, UPS and The Home Depot. I started my career as a political aide to the Atlanta City Council.
I earned my a master’s degree in communications from Georgia State University and undergraduate degree summa cum laude from University of California, San Diego. I'm fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French and have given interviews in Spanish for a client on for Spanish language TV news.
My current hobby is training for my first half Ironman! So when not working on your story, you can find me running, swimming or riding.
