Adanna Smith Joins Goodell DeVries’s Medical Malpractice Team

Goodell DeVries is pleased to announce that Adanna M. Smith has joined the firm’s Medical Malpractice Practice Group as an associate.

Adanna defends health care providers and health care organizations in medical malpractice litigation. Before joining Goodell DeVries, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Julie R. Rubin in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, where she assisted the judge primarily with commercial and toxic tort cases. Prior to her clerkship, Adanna gained legal experience in the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland, a large medical university in-house counsel office, and private law firms with a focus on complex business and commercial litigation.

While in law school, Adanna was President of the University of Baltimore Moot Court team and earned the distinction of Best Oral Advocate at every level of competition – national, regional, and local. She was also named a Contracts Law Scholar and served as a student teacher to underclassmen in contracts law.

Adanna is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., 2019) and The University of Dayton (B.S., 2016).
