Cofertility, a Los Angeles, CA-based egg-freezing startup, raised $7.25m in Series A funding.
The round, which brought Cofertility’s total funding to $16m, was co-led by Next Ventures and Offline Ventures with participation from Initialized Capital and Gaingels.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Co-founded by Lauren Makler and Halle Tecco, Cofertility offers a tech-enabled fertility ecosystem that supports individuals and families across different phases of the fertility journey. The Split program allows women to freeze their eggs for free when they donate half to another family. The Keep program enables women to freeze and keep their eggs for their own future use. In addiiton, a human-centered matching platform and egg sharing model is designed for people pursuing family-building through egg donation.
