Broward County Administrator Monica Cepero will moderate the program, set for May 7th at Riverside Hotel
Leadership Broward is proud to welcome Matthew Caldwell, President and CEO of the Florida Panthers, as the distinguished guest speaker for its renowned “Serving Up Leadership” luncheon. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Riverside Hotel Fort Lauderdale, 620 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. The program will be moderated by Broward County Administrator Monica Cepero.

Caldwell, a U.S. Army veteran and former Goldman Sachs Vice President, became the youngest CEO in U.S. professional sports at age 36. Under his leadership, the Florida Panthers achieved historic success, including their first Stanley Cup victory in 2023-24. Caldwell has been instrumental in the team’s expansion, overseeing major initiatives including arena partnerships, sponsorships and increasing access to ice sports throughout Broward County.
Cepero, who has served as Broward County Administrator since March 2022, has more than 32 years of state and local government management experience. As the county’s chief executive officer, Cepero directs nearly 7,000 employees and manages major agencies such as the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades, while overseeing the county’s growth and continued development.
The “Serving Up Leadership” series provides an exclusive platform for prominent leaders to share their career stories, leadership philosophies and valuable insights with both aspiring and seasoned professionals. The program reflects Leadership Broward’s mission to develop and inspire individuals to serve the community through leadership development and civic engagement.
