NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, premier late-stage investment firm, Innovation X Advisors LLC, announced that Portfolio Manager, Roger Monteforte, has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Voyager Technologies, Inc., a Denver-based technology company specializing in space exploration and defense solutions. Monteforte brings with him nearly three decades of experience in the investment industry serving as Chairman and CEO of Innovation X, as well as founder and CEO of the Forte Capital Group.
Formerly known as Voyager Space, Voyager Technologies was founded in 2019 and has quickly expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of seven industry-leading companies, including Altius Space Machines, Pioneer Astronautics, The Launch Company, Nanoracks, Valley Tech Systems, Space Micro, and ZIN Technologies. Collectively, these entities bring over 35 years of spaceflight heritage, having supported more than 1,000 missions across 35 nations and territories.
As the leader of Innovation X, a multi-billion-dollar private equity fund focused on investing in privately held companies with innovative or disruptive technologies, Roger’s appointment to the Voyager Technologies board is a strategic addition that reinforces his ability and influence in shaping the trajectory of cutting-edge organizations.
In addition to his nearly three decades of financial expertise, Roger has a comprehensive understanding of how emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, aerospace, and national security can shape our world. This is highlighted through Innovation X’s impressive investment track record which includes successful exits in companies like Airbnb, Spotify, Uber Technologies, Palantir, Pinterest, and Slack Technologies, as well as the benefit of many established relationships within private equity, institutional investment, technology, and startups.
“We are delighted to have Roger join the Voyager Technologies team,” said Dylan Taylor, chairman and CEO of Voyager. “His decision is a testament to our vision, and we couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead. “We believe Roger’s proven success in identifying and scaling next-generation companies, coupled with his network of high-net-worth investors, will greatly help guide Voyager’s growth strategy, market expansion, capital allocation and future investment opportunities to further strengthen our position in the space and defense sectors.”
For Innovation X, this further cements its position as a premier private equity operator with access to high-growth industries, as his board role will provide the fund with unique strategic insights in the aerospace and national security sectors.
As a board member, Roger will gain a deeper understanding of Voyager Technologies’ strategy, technology, and growth plans, which he believes will allow him to identify high value opportunities and manage risk more effectively. His role strengthens connections between institutional capital and cutting-edge innovations.
“As a new member of Voyager Technologies’ advisory board, I look forward to being a valued strategic advisor,” says Monteforte. “I believe that leveraging my nearly three decades worth of financial experience, my knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, and my established industry relationships will complement Voyager Technologies’ already well-positioned cornerstone of the aerospace sector.”
