Area Agency On Aging Of Broward County Celebrates 43rd Annual Installation Dinner

The Area Agency on Aging of Broward County (AAABC) hosted its 43rd Annual Installation Dinner on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel. It was an evening of networking, celebration and recognition of the significant contributions from AAABC’s Board of Directors, Advisory Council and community partners supporting its senior advocacy initiatives.

“Honoring our community partners, both inside and outside our organization, who have made exceptional contributions was a true privilege,” said Charlotte Mather-Taylor, CEO of AAABC. “They have brought a wealth of perspectives, expertise and volunteer experience which has enriched the breadth of our programs for seniors.”

The award’s ceremony honored those who have dedicated time and resources to support AAABC’s programs for older adults in Broward County. The recipients included Project Leader of the Year: Andrea Busada; Volunteer of the Year: Naushira Pandya, M.D.; Community Champion Award: Senator Nan Rich; Corporation of the Year: Senior Proof; Fair Share Milestone Cities: City of Miramar (45 Years) and City of Oakland Park (40 Years).

Event partners included platinum sponsors Center for Workforce Inclusion, City of Miramar and United Homecare.

The Agency is currently requesting the nominations of exceptional older adults for the Dr. Nan S. Hutchison Broward Senior Hall of Fame.  This special recognition honors individuals, 60 and older, who have gone above and beyond with their volunteer work in Broward County for five or more years.
