ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston VIRTUAL Info-Session, Thursday, September 17, 2020

What: ACE Mentor Program of Greater Boston, the free after-school program run by local design and construction professionals with the goal of inspiring high school students to pursue careers in the architecture, construction and engineering industries, is hosting an online information session regarding this year’s virtual after-school program on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. EST. All high school students, parents and administrators in the Greater Boston area and beyond are invited to attend the one-hour informative session.

ACE Mentor Program is a free offering for high school students, grades 9-12, to learn about design and construction from mentors who work in those fields. Participating companies will be providing virtual tours of constructions sites, engineering labs and professional offices to give students a sense of their future work environments.

The program will meet once a week online in the fall, and students will be provided with take-home kits to work on assignments remotely. For this year’s project, students will design and create a construction plan for a residential home, working within certain budget, environmental and site requirements.

ACE of Greater Boston runs its mentor program from October 2020 through March 2021, officially beginning with the Student Kick-Off event in early October. Please note the date will vary depending on the site location the participant is assigned to.
