The award-winning, historic Lord Baltimore Hotel is pleased to welcome Tim Johnson, who returns as the hotel’s director of group sales. Johnson previously served as the Group Sales Manager and Group Sports Director for the hotel from 2017 to 2020.
As the Dir. of Group Sales, Johnson is responsible for identifying and engaging with associations/nonprofit groups, corporate groups and government groups to secure sales that maximize the use of the many meeting and conference spaces, occupancy and profitability for the 440-room hotel. He is also responsible for the development of business from youth sports, NCAA sports, and worldwide professional sports and sporting associations.
Johnson has an extensive career in hotel and government sales, as well as associations with non-profit groups and corporate organizations. He has a proven commitment to the sports industry, which has allowed him to significantly develop the business and bring on board customers such as Monumental Sports and ensure that Lord Baltimore was the chosen Arena Bowl Host Hotel in 2018 and the Baltimore Host Hotel for the 2019 premier lacrosse league.
Johnson received his bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University studying business and managerial economics.
