Amy Basta, SECU’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Community, Recognized with Ragan Award

SECU, Maryland’s largest state-chartered credit union, is thrilled to announce that Amy Basta, the financial institution’s senior vice president of marketing and community, has been recognized with a prestigious Ragan Award by PR Daily in the Team Leaders category.

The Ragan Awards programs praise the most successful campaigns, initiatives, people and teams in the communication, PR, marketing and employee wellbeing industries. The Top Women in Marketing program celebrates the exceptional individuals who transform brands, break barriers and propel the marketing profession forward. Ragan Communications honors those who create and cultivate best practices, and specifically in the Team Leaders category, Amy was selected for leading with confidence and empathy.

“Each and every day, Amy comes to work and operates within the ethos of a credit union, ‘people helping people,’” said Becky Smith, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer at SECU. “Amy is a dedicated employee, an innovative marketer and an amazing leader that so many of us admire. We’re beyond excited that she has been recognized with a Ragan Award, and look forward to her continued success both at work and in her community.”

In her role as SVP of Marketing and Community, Amy leads a team of talented, cross-functional marketing strategists focusing on brand, community engagement, creative and written communications, digital and product marketing. Under her leadership, SECU’s marketing and community campaigns reached new heights, and the credit union has been awarded several prestigious marketing awards. Basta serves as a Board Member for the SECU Maryland Foundation and is part of SECU’s Leadership and Operations Committee where she champions external and internal events through DEI, Affinity Groups, community engagement and business development.

Amy will be celebrated alongside other remarkable women in marketing at a luncheon on October 30, 2024 at City Winery in New York City. For more information about SECU, Maryland’s largest credit union and career opportunities, visit SECUmd.org.
