David Nevins Interviews Chris Drewer, President at Harford County Association of Realtors

Chris Drewer, ABR, CDPE, ePRO, has served as the Harford County Association of Realtors president since 2020. Mr. Drewer previously served as the vice president appointee to the president-elect of Maryland Realtors in 2019 and has been a Harford County Association of Realtors board member since 2016. He is a seasoned real estate expert with nearly 20 years of experience. Since launching his real estate career in 2004, he has consistently been one of the region’s top producing agents. He currently oversees a real estate team of nine at eXp Realty, LLC and is also an associate broker. Mr. Drewer is a graduate of the Maryland Realtors Leadership Academy, is a Maryland RPAC trustee and from 2018-2020, served as the Million Dollar Real Estate Association treasurer. Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Drewer spent two years as a Lowes store manager where his interest in home improvement inspired his Real Estate career.

Q1: Tell us a bit about the Harford County Association of Realtors, how many members, advocacy, and more.

Q2: There are differences between a realtor and an agent? Can you tell us what’s the difference and how should someone determine who is the best fit for their needs?

Q3: I understand COVID has had an interesting impact on the residential real estate market. Tell us what you’ve seen from a buyer’s and seller’s perspective and the overall impact you anticipate in the long run. (Inventory challenges and home values)

Q4: I know your organization does a lot of charitable work to support the Harford County community. Tell us a bit about this important work that you and your colleagues do and why it’s priority for the association.

David has chaired the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and the Maryland Higher Education Loan Corporation, served as President of both the Jewish National Fund and the Towson Business Association and was a member of the PNC Bank board.
