Aiming to support the community it serves, MY Self Wellness, a cutting-edge ketamine clinic and pioneer in the psychedelic space, based in Bonita Springs, will host a breathwork and sound healing class with The Sound of Breath on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 12 p.m. Guests will immerse themselves in a peaceful atmosphere and allow the harmonious vibrations guide them towards inner peace and healing.
Founder of The Sound of Breath Talbot Steel will guide participants through a transformative experience combining the power of breathwork and sound healing to relax, rejuvenate and restore their mind, body and spirit. Multiple breathing techniques will be combined to provide 90 minutes of transformative breath work that will bring participants amazing benefits to relieve anxiety, inspire creativity, heal trauma, boost immunity, gain mental clarity, improve digestion, strengthen intuition, achieve mental relaxation and massage inner organs.
Steel is a distinguished breathwork practitioner with over 20 years of experience. His journey stands as a beacon of transformation, showcasing the profound impact of specialized breathing techniques in navigating life’s challenges. The culmination of years of dedicated practice and exploration in breathwork led Steel to create his own distinctive sequences. These sequences are intricately designed to elicit significant physiological and psychological responses in a concise timeframe. Steel’s innovative approach allows individuals to quickly access states of energy, calm and deep meditation, which typically require extensive practice to achieve.
Founded by President and Co-Founder Christina Thomas and Chief Brand Ambassador and Co-Founder Charles Patti, MY Self Wellness exists to assist and empower individuals on their health and wellness journey by combining the healing benefits of ketamine with new lifestyle practices for a full mental reset. The center offers an array of services, including ketamine therapy, IV vitamin infusions, NAD+ therapy, medical cannabis recommendations, integrative nutrition services and counseling. MY Self Wellness has experience helping its clients get off pharmaceuticals and move past the symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, chronic pain and more. To date, it employs a team of 17 professionals who have helped over 1,500 individuals find healing through over 10,000 treatments.
The clinic encompasses a multidisciplinary group of psychiatrists, registered nurses, infusion specialists, and integration specialists. Ketamine is administered in a number of ways, including intravenous infusion (IV), intramuscular injection (IM), intranasally, orally and sublingually (as a dissolving troche or lozenge).
MY Self Wellness has partnered with Enthea to expand access to ketamine therapy through employee benefit packages. Enthea is a third-party administrator (TPA) of health insurance plans and the only one offering psychedelic healthcare as a workplace benefit. MY Self Wellness is the first ketamine clinic in Florida to accept Enthea.
In an effort to break the stigma surrounding psychedelic medicine, Thomas and Patti recently launched the MY Self Wellness podcast. In the groundbreaking series, hosts Thomas and Patti embark on a transformative journey into the frontiers of mental health, healing and wellness through intimate and life-changing conversations with industry leaders. The podcast is more than just a conversation; it’s a mission-driven exploration into the revolutionary potential of alternative healing modalities and healthy habits. Through intimate discussions, personal anecdotes and expert insights, the team unravels the complexities of mental health issues, and the profound impact that holistic and alternative therapies can have on individuals’ lives. Every episode is a deep dive into the stories of healing, hope and the pursuit of wellness beyond the conventional. It’s available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube every Friday.
Knowing the strong transformations their clients have experienced as a result of psychedelic ketamine therapy, Thomas and Patti of MY Self Wellness founded the nonprofit Warriors of Consciousness in 2022, with the mission to help those who cannot afford psychedelic ketamine therapy treatments. Thomas and Patti understand the importance of experiencing these transformations without financial restrictions. To date, Warriors of Consciousness has donated treatments to more than 90 individuals.
