The Korth Companies, Inc. has named Jodi Korth as President of the 42-year-old interiors contracting firm. Korth will join her father and Chairman of the company, Gene Korth, in the company’s leadership as it enters its fourth decade as one of the leading interiors firms in the Washington, DC region.
“I started Korth in my basement forty-two years ago and have enjoyed every moment of its growth into a company of dedicated and hard-working employees. I consider them all as part of our family,” said Gene Korth. “To be able to pass the baton to my daughter Jodi and my grandson Sam, who has spent the last nine years working his way to his current Project Manager position, is the most gratifying thing I could think of. With their leadership, Korth will continue to be a highly recognized and respected interiors contractor serving clients in the DC metropolitan area.”
“I look forward to leading our team collaboratively and cohesively, with continued excellence in delivering high-end commercial interior projects,” said Jodi Korth. “The legacy of the family company will be maintained by the continued engagement of our people in a culture where everyone’s voice counts, and everyone feels supported in their personal and professional development. I am confident that by putting our people first and allowing for their expertise to flourish, there will be nothing that can stop us from being the very best.” One initial strategy going forward, according to Jodi Korth, is the establishment of an executive committee of department heads to ensure collaboration of perspectives to better make informed and accurate decisions.
“I look forward to empowering the young leaders of the group to learn and grow with the company,” said Sam Gurowitz. “Korth’s goal is to provide our team the necessary tools for success and I am excited to see what this next generation does in the chapters to come.”
Jodi Korth has been with The Korth Companies, Inc. for 15 years and has worked every facet of the company to ensure “The Korth Way” continues. Graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Business Management, she brings to the company many valuable skills in the areas of Management and Cultural Change. Jodi previously served as Vice President – Business Development for the firm (2010-2017) and most recently as Chief Branding Officer (2017-June 2024). She is a longtime member of CREW DC and CREW Suburban Maryland, a member of the Real Estate & Construction Networking Group (of the GGCC), and a member of HCBA (Healthcare Business Advisory Group).
