Ryan Companies US, Inc., a national leader in commercial real estate solutions, proudly announces the completion and opening of Feeding Tampa Bay’s Causeway Center. This 215,000-square-foot facility, a unique blend of industrial, distribution, and office spaces, was officially opened on May 23. It stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to providing meals for millions of families facing food insecurity and supporting Feeding Tampa Bay’s goal to build a future where anything is possible.
“With more than one million people experiencing food insecurity in the Tampa Bay community, Ryan’s team is honored to have delivered this new headquarters and distribution space, which centralizes Feeding Tampa Bay’s operations and maximizes production and efficiency,” said Doug Dieck, President of the Southeast at Ryan Companies. “We are deeply committed to giving back to the communities where we operate and supporting regional growth and success. Volunteering with Feeding Tampa Bay has allowed us to witness firsthand the monumental impact this new headquarters will have on our community.”
The new headquarters, a state-of-the-art facility, is now the primary distribution center for Feeding Tampa Bay. It boasts 31,000 square feet of cold storage, an 11,000-square-foot kitchen that prepares daily meals, a grocery store, a café, and classrooms for job training and financial literacy lessons. Feeding Tampa Bay’s various distribution programs, including food pantries, Trinity Café, the FRESHforce program, student food-assistance programs, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, FoodRX, disaster relief, and additional pathways, are all housed in this innovative space.
“This facility represents significant growth for Feeding Tampa Bay and the opportunity to provide the services our community needs on a much larger scale,” said Thomas Mantz, CEO and President of Feeding Tampa Bay. “Ryan was an essential partner in realizing our vision. With the new facility, we can now double the previous food distribution volume and provide the services that the community needs in a much different way.”
Ryan is deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with Feeding Tampa Bay and contribute to this crucial project. The new facility is not just a building; it’s a testament to our shared commitment to the community. It is already making a significant difference for food-insecure families throughout West Central Florida.
