Miller & Smith, a renowned homebuilder celebrating its 60th year in business, is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with the Realtor community, kicking off an educational series aimed at better educating real estate agents on the nuances of new home sales. This initiative is designed to foster a more collaborative and supportive environment for realtors and their clients.
Real Estate Agent Jennifer Liwang of Pearson Smith Realty is working closely with Miller & Smith to develop a comprehensive educational process. “It’s really exciting. We’re looking forward to teaming up with Miller & Smith,” Liwang remarked. “This program is about making realtors feel comfortable bringing their clients in and working more collaboratively, which will be positive for everyone involved.”
Liwang emphasized the unique challenges of new home sales compared to resales, highlighting the importance of education in this area. “When you are building a new home, it is a very different process than purchasing a resale property. The more education that real estate agents have—whether it’s reading a floorplan, understanding critical timelines, or the overall building process—the better they can set expectations for the buyer. This alleviates stress and allows agents to be better educators.”
Miller & Smith is committed to this collaborative approach, with plans for a “lunch and learn” event at their Birchwood at Brambleton community in Ashburn, VA scheduled for June. Agents will receive high-level education about the building process, participate in a frame walk, and have their questions answered. “Miller & Smith is really working to collaborate with realtors,” says Tracy Lamb, Vice President of Sales for Miller & Smith. “We encourage realtors to bring their clients into our models, learn directly from our Sales Managers who know the nuances of this type of home sale to ultimately make it a positive experience for everyone involved,” Lamb added.
The educational series event begins at Birchwood at Brambleton, where Miller & Smith’s thoughtful approach extends beyond the homes they build to the entire process that generates excitement and anticipation. Offering four unique home styles, designed to cater to the diverse needs and budgets of the 55+ niche homebuyer. This meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect of their work, from the market-ready homes to their innovative realtor education program. This program ensures that homebuyers receive the exceptional experience they deserve from start to finish. With options ranging from stylish brownstones with push-of-a-button elevator convenience, two distinct courtyard-style homes, to grand single-family homes equipped with elevators, Miller & Smith provides something for every buyer to consider, reflecting their unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
As part of their 60th anniversary celebration, the builder also is hosting a summer home tour, kicking off in their Birchwood at Brambleton community, gifting eight sets of Wolf Trap concert tickets and concert care packages throughout the summer.
