David P. Skand, a seasoned litigator with a wealth of experience, has joined Hyland Levin Shapiro LLP as counsel. His practice will continue to focus on representing businesses in commercial disputes, including general civil and commercial litigation in the areas of real estate, construction, insurance coverage, products liability, and professional liability.
Before joining Hyland Levin Shapiro, David honed his skills at an AmLaw 200 law firm in New Jersey.His track record includes litigating sophisticated, complex civil and commercial matters for large businesses and national clients. He has also successfully handled administrative law and regulatory matters in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law, and Chancery Divisions, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Furthermore, he has briefed and argued appeals in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and represented clients before the U.S Bankruptcy Court in the areas of foreclosure and creditor’s rights.

He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court of the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
David currently resides in Swedesboro and, outside of practicing law, enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
