HFAM Members Featured in AHCA/NCAL Telly Award Winning Videos

Videos Highlight Member Dedication to Creating Purpose and Value for Residents in Long Term Care

The Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) is thrilled to announce that Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and Charles E. Smith Life Communities have been featured in an American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) two-part video series that recently won a national Bronze Telly Award for video production. This prestigious recognition was presented at the 45th Annual Telly Awards.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards had a record-breaking year with nearly 13,000 entries from across the globe and top video and television producers. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council, a diverse judging body of over 200 executives from television networks, production companies, global agencies, immersive content studios, and streaming platforms around the world.

“It is an honor for our members’ quality care stories to be told at the national level,” said HFAM President and CEO Joe DeMattos. “These powerful videos beautifully capture the quality care and strong sense of community at Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and Charles E. Smith Life Communities. Congratulations to President and CEO Bruce J. Lederman, VP of Operations Brenda L. Rice, and the entire team for this well-deserved accolade.”

Based in Rockville, Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and Charles E. Smith Life Communities have been nurturing and caring for older adults in the Jewish community and beyond for more than a century. The award-winning videos, entitled Perspectives: Living Our Values (Part 1 and Part 2), showcase how leadership and staff operate under guiding principles to do what is right, deliver the highest standards of service, act with kindness, and acknowledge the value of each individual.

“During my recent visit to Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and Charles E. Smith Life Communities, I experienced firsthand the warmth and hospitality that define their community,” DeMattos added. “From the initial greeting to the interactions with team members, the delicious meal, and the heartfelt goodbyes, I felt safe, comfortable, and truly at home.”
