YMCA Of The Palm Beaches Hosts Record-Setting 10th Annual Golf Classic

The YMCA of The Palm Beaches held their 10th Annual Golf Classic on Friday, May 10 on the legendary greens of the PGA National’s The Champion Course. Nearly 120 golfers – a record for the Y – participated in this annual event celebrating philanthropic sportsmanship.

The Golf Classic included a breakfast, 18 holes of competitive play, and an awards luncheon. During the luncheon, a silent auction and raffle took place, where items including a two-night stay at Hilton West Palm Beach, golf packages at The Breakers, PGA National and others, a two-night cruise on the Margaritaville at Sea, dining certificates from Big Time Restaurant Group and Palm Beach Yacht Club, and more were awarded to lucky participants.

The winning foursome team members included Van Collier, Ryan Witkowski, Juan Cucoy, and Carson Klawon, who shot a combined 55. Second place went to Jordan Elsen, Johnny Delprete, Don Langdon, and Rod McRae and Third Place went to Chris Blair, Justin Howard, Kevin Clark, and Ryan Coffield. Individual awards were given to Rick Braudenberg for Closest to the Pin and Jordan Elsen for Longest Drive.

The event raised more than $70,000 which will provide financial assistance for key YMCA services such as life-saving swim lessons, health & wellness programs, and much more at YMCA of the Palm Beaches’ current locations in Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens.
