The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. is pleased to announce that Monica Chawla has joined the firm as an associate in the New York office in the Litigation Practice Group.

About Monica Chawla
Chawla focuses on commercial litigation, representing individuals, businesses, shareholders, and executives in complex state and federal court matters. She has extensive experience with a wide variety of business disputes, including franchise law matters representing both franchisors and franchisees, as well as business divorce, restrictive covenants, and intellectual property infringement issues. Chawla regularly reviews and drafts legal documents, conducts legal research, develops strategy, negotiates settlements, and handles all aspects of discovery and motion practice to help her clients achieve their goals.
Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, P.A., Chawla worked as a commercial litigation associate at a New York firm, gaining valuable experience handling complex commercial and franchise matters in state and federal courts as well as representing clients in alternative disputes resolution forums throughout the country. She also previously managed her own small business, which gives her a unique perspective in advising her clients throughout all phases of the litigation process.
Chawla earned her J.D. from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, graduating as valedictorian of her class, and received her B.A. from Hunter College. She is fluent in Italian, Spanish, Punjabi and Hindi.
