YMCA of The Palm Beaches Launches No-Cost Exercise Classes for Seniors at Palm Beach Gardens Location

The YMCA of the Palm Beaches has announced the launch of No-Cost Exercise classes for seniors with qualifying Medicare at the newest Y Wellness Center, located at Palm Beach State College’s Gardens Campus (3160 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens.)

SilverSneakers, Renew Active, and Silver & Fit are popular fitness programs designed specifically for older adults, which allow seniors access to fitness facilities and classes free of charge through their Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement and group retiree plans. The benefit is included in over 60 Medicare plans and is available to many Medicare enrollees.

“Senior Exercise classes are one of the most impactful programs we offer,” said Jim Barnes, Director of Operations, YMCA of the Palm Beaches. “From Chair Yoga, light weights, stretching exercise and more, this program helps seniors experience greater energy, increased strength, and improved balance and flexibility.”

The YMCA of the Palm Beaches also offers Senior Exercise classes at the YMCA Aquatics Center in Lake Worth and the Y’s Wellness Center at the Palm Beach State College campus in Lake Worth. YMCA of the Palm Beaches encourages those interested to visit any of the three facilities and attend a tailored fitness class.
