Burgess, The Leading Global Superyacht Agency, Moves To Us Flagship Office At 540 Madison Avenue

Burgess, the leading luxury superyacht agency, has moved to a new 16,000-square-foot office space at the prestigious 540 Madison Avenue tower in the heart of Manhattan, today announced Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess.

The full-service global yacht leader with 16 offices around the world relocated from its Upper East Side address to the new Plaza District space in April.

Burgess’ new office in Midtown East is just four blocks south of Central Park, located at Madison and East 55th Street, and steps away from renowned establishments such as the world-famous St. Regis Hotel and King Cole Bar, prestigious clubs like The University Club and Core, as well as The Polo Bar and Aman New York. It’s conveniently situated near an array of famous boutiques, including Bergdorf Goodman, Celine, Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany & Co. and more.

The 39-story boutique tower boasts jaw-dropping views of Central Park and Manhattan, along with an extensive list of personalized boutique office space services and amenities characteristic of a trophy-class building.

“540 Madison Avenue epitomizes the sophistication and prestige of the Plaza District. Its location is convenient for our clients to meet privately with our brokers,” said Matt Emerson, Senior Partner and Director, America, Burgess. “We are delighted to move into this exceptional Midtown East address and look forward to helping New Yorkers discover their perfect superyacht experience.”

The expansive office, situated on the 19th floor, will service clients and accommodate a team of distinguished yacht charter and brokerage experts who are leaders in their field, known for going above and beyond to fulfill clients’ every wish regarding yachting and superyachts, from charter to brokerage.

Divco West acquired the property in 2019, and since then, the building has undergone a significant capital investment program.Bottom of Form

The building features a two-story amenity center on the 11th and 12th floors (the “Water Tower Lounge”), offering flexible meeting, work and lounge space, private shower facilities, food and beverage service, a wellness room and an outdoor terrace.

Notable tenants of the Class A building include Bang & Olufsen, Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique, Pantzer Properties, and Banco Itau among many others.

Burgess enjoys three offices in the United States, with additional locations in Beverly Hills and Miami. Both offices are strategically situated in the heart of their respective cities, with the Miami office in Brickell and the Beverly Hills office just off Santa Monica Boulevard.

The US remains Burgess’ strongest market, and this announcement is the second, following the Miami relocation, of several expected in the coming 12 months, further emphasizing their commitment to the region and its immense potential.
