Ribbon Cutting Of Stew Leonard’s In Clifton On Tuesday, May 14

Senator John McKeon and Clifton Mayor Raymond Grabowski will join Department of Agriculture officials and Stew Leonard, Jr., CEO of Stew Leonard’s, and dozens of state and local officials in opening a new store and dedicating a 300-pound bronze statue in honor of former milkman Stew Leonard Sr. who passed away last year.

Mr. Leonard founded the famous Stew Leonard’s grocery stores, which have become a $600 million family-owned supermarket chain with locations in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. It is the largest dairy store in the world and has been dubbed the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores.”

Officials and community leaders will toast the opening of the new store, the second in the Garden State, with milk and live cows, along with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 14th at 12:00 p.m., at Stew Leonard’s, 467 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ.

Stew Leonard’s buys dairy and produce from hundreds of local farms in the tri-state area. Farmers will be at the press conference to discuss the upcoming summer season crops. New Jersey is famous for its blueberries, tomatoes, and other produce.
