Assembly Row Welcomes Club Volo’s Urban Beach Vibes Back For Second Season

Assembly Row, the growing neighborhood just minutes from downtown Boston welcomes back the city’s only beach volleyball destination this summer alongside pickleball, bocce and cornhole courts. Also returning this summer is the monthly Maker’s Market Series run by Boston Women’s Market (BWM) featuring handmade goods from women-owned businesses. Ever-popular Assembly Row annual events Bar Stars, Riverfest, Yoga in The Park, Dancing on the Row and Live Music Fridays are all coming back online with the return of warm weather.

“The popularity of Club Volo continues to grow, and we are looking forward to welcoming players back to Assembly Row for a second straight year,” said David Middleton, vice president and general manager of Assembly Row. “With a number of new restaurants now open, our summer activations will draw additional visitors and allow them to discover all that is new here in the neighborhood.”

Club Volo, a 75K SF multi-sport and event space serviced by Downeast Cider, features four sand volleyball courts, 12 pickleball courts, bocce and cornhole with regular leagues run on-site. Assembly Row’s summer programming kicks off on May 11 with the BWM monthly Maker’s Market Series which brings 30 local women-owned businesses to The Row the second Saturday of each month ending in October. Free fitness returns every Saturday during Yoga in The Park starting May 18 with new tenant YogaSix.

Friday night programming at the Downeast Cider Pop-Up runs June 21 – September 13, alternating between free salsa lessons and dance parties during Dancing on The Row and live, local performances at Live Music Fridays.

The perennially sold-out Bar Stars event is slated for Thursday, July 11 placing Assembly Row’s top bartenders head-to-head is a creative cocktail competition.

To cap off the summer season, Riverfest returns on Saturday, September 14 with a day of free, family fun including kid-friendly activities, live music, a maker’s market, and fireworks over the Mystic River.
