Opmed.ai Secures $15M Series A

Opmed.ai, a Boston, MA-based provider of an AI optimization platform for healthcare, raised $15M in Series A funding.

The round was led by NFX and Grove Ventures, with participation from Secret Chord Ventures, the Impact investor Sir Ronald Cohen, and Unbox Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts.

Co-founded by Dr. Mor Brokman Meltzer, Avi Paz, and Prof. Baruch Barzel, Opmed.ai provides an healthcare optimization engine utilizing AI and network science to enhance healthcare scheduling and resource allocation, starting with operating rooms. By analyzing billions of permutations and healthcare-specific factors within the OR’s complex network, the company empowers medical centers and health systems to optimize resource allocation across multiple locations, predict disruptions, and adapt to change, leading to generation of an additional $1M+ revenue per operating room and reduction of costs by more than $500K per year on average.

Opmed.ai is already deployed by leading hospitals and healthcare centers in the US and Israel and is collaborating with leading Health Systems such as Mayo Clinic.
