Mark H. Anania Joins Stevens & Lee as a Shareholder

Stevens & Lee announced today that Mark H. Anania, a national intellectual property litigator and counselor, has joined the firm as a Shareholder in its Bergen County and New York offices.

Stevens & Lee continues to bolster its regional footprint from when it opened its northern New Jersey office one year ago this month.

Mr. Anania is President of the New Jersey IP Law Association and has a national IP practice focused on helping clients increase the value and defend the security of their intellectual property portfolios and business-critical assets. He has litigated cases across various industries, from Fortune 500 leaders to closely held business, and before federal district courts nationwide, the Federal Circuit and the International Trade Commission.

Mr. Anania also provides strategic advice on intellectual property portfolio management, counseling and licensing. He offers a range of guidance, from effectively obtaining rights through the USPTO and Copyright Office to implementing proactive measures that prevent and avoid infringement, as well as maximize the overall value of intellectual property. Listed in the World Trademark Review 1000, Mr. Anania is recognized as a leading practitioner in his area of practice.

Within the legal community, Mr. Anania frequently writes and speaks on IP issues and has served on the New Jersey IP Law Association’s Board of Managers for more than five years prior to his current leadership role. He also holds significant positions in the golf industry, including as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Golf Association.

Mr. Anania received a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. from Colgate University. While in law school, he was a Research Editor for the Rutgers Law Review and a judicial intern for the Hon. Madeline Cox Arleo in the District of New Jersey.
