Chris Trapani Graduates From Maryland REALTORS Leadership Academy, Class Of 2024

Chris Trapani, a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Gateway in Baltimore, MD, graduated from the Maryland REALTORS®’ Leadership Academy, a leadership development program that builds leaders for the industry and in the communities they serve.

“We are always excited to announce a new graduating class of our popular Leadership Academy program,” said Joanie Hynes, Chair of the Leadership Academy Advisory Group. “We’re very proud of Chris. He will share his new leadership skills where he lives and works: within the communities he serves, with his local real estate board, the Harford County Association of REALTORS®, even serving statewide with Maryland REALTORS® or nationally with the National Association of REALTORS®.”

A licensed REALTOR® since 2018, Trapani has been active with his local board, the Harford County Association of REALTORS®. He has served on the association’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) and has been its Chair for the last three years. Trapani also serves on its Board of Directors.  In 2022, he was named Harford County’s  “REmarkable REALTOR of the Year.”

The mission of the Leadership Academy is to build tomorrow’s strong leaders today, leaders who can address the challenges facing real estate with professionalism, transparency, and leadership.

The Leadership Academy annually reviews applications coming from all corners of the state to select a diversified group of qualified members for the prestigious program.  The program consists of seven sessions held monthly between October and April, to develop distinct leadership skills and competencies.  Courses include legislative and advocacy, communication skills, and relationship management and networking. Most who enter the program go on to serve in leadership capacities within their communities and with Maryland REALTORS® at the state level.

“For REALTORS®, this is a program that sets you up for success,” said Chris Hill, 2024 Maryland REALTORS® President. “As a graduate myself, I can attest personally how it prepared me not only for my role as President, but locally where I work, as well.  The skills I learned in Leadership Academy will last a lifetime.”
