A New Jersey licensed attorney and title producer, Friedman brings over 17 years of experience in both the legal and title insurance industries and is well-versed in underwriting complex commercial transactions. His industry knowledge is matched with a creative, customer-focused approach, recognizing that no two transactions are the same and working hand-in-hand with clients, partners and team members is the key to finding the best-suited solutions. Based at the corporate headquarters in Marlton, New Jersey, Friedman will oversee Surety’s Commercial Department, which handles title search, insurance and settlement services, and further improve the services already offered with new streamlined and innovative solutions.
Prior to joining Surety, Friedman served as New Jersey State Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company, where he provided underwriting guidance and solutions to title agents handling residential and commercial transactions in New Jersey. During his tenure, he was a member of First American’s 2018 Excellence in Underwriting Program, led as an instructor for the company’s Bridge Underwriting Program and received the 2022 MVP Award for Underwriting in recognition of his ability to creatively solve complex title issues. Friedman’s career began as an attorney for a southern New Jersey-based law firm where he specialized in business and real estate transactions. Today the cum laude graduate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the New Jersey Land Title Association and is a member of several NJLTA committees.
