BioCT Appoints Mike Stow to Its Board of Directors

NEW HAVEN, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BioCT, Connecticut’s life sciences trade association, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mike Stow, Vice President of Global Marketing for Robotic Surgical Technologies in the Surgical business of Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, to its Board of Directors. With over 15 years of experience in the medical technologies sector, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the board.

Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and improving patient outcomes. His expertise spans marketing, strategy, and general management, with notable contributions to the commercialization of over 20 new technologies that have positively impacted millions of patients worldwide.

At Medtronic, Mike leads a global team responsible for marketing its soft-tissue robotic-assisted surgery system, which has strong R&D roots in Connecticut and today is in clinical use at hospitals across five continents. Mike also serves as an executive sponsor of Medtronic’s Young Professionals Connecticut chapter and is actively engaged in Medtronic’s Connecticut State Steering Committee.

Prior to his role at Medtronic, Mike led the Breast Screening Franchise at Hologic, where he introduced technologies to assist in breast cancer screening in the United States.

Mike received his MBA from the Yale School of Management and has lived and worked in the state for over two decades. He is passionate about enhancing the business environment for life sciences and related industries. His dedication for driving innovation and fostering growth aligns well with BioCT’s mission to advance the state’s life sciences community.
