National Philanthropic Trust Appoints Linda K. Myers Chair of the Board of Trustees

JENKINTOWN, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–National Philanthropic Trust, the largest national, independent public charity that manages donor-advised funds (DAFs), and one of the largest grantmaking organizations in the world, is pleased to announce Linda K. Myers has been named chair of NPT’s Board of Trustees. 

Myers, a nationally recognized attorney, has been a member of NPT’s board since 2020. She has served as vice chair of NPT’s Board of Trustees and chair of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee.

Until her retirement in 2022, Myers was a corporate partner at the international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she served on the Global Executive Management Committee from 2010 to 2020. She was one of the original members of Kirkland’s Debt Finance Practice Group.

Myers’s practice focused on debt financing transactions for major private and public companies, private equity groups and commercial lending institutions. Her work encompassed a spectrum of industries, including healthcare, technology, retail, professional services, manufacturing and consumer brands.

Myers was ranked by Chambers Global and Chambers USA as one of an exclusive group of “Eminent Practitioners” nationwide. She was honored by the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois with a “Women of Achievement” award in 2015, included by Crain’s Chicago Business in the “Who’s Who in Chicago Business” in 2016 and 2017, selected as a “Notable Gen X Leader in Law” in 2019, named one of “The Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2018, and “The Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago” in 2017. She was inducted into The Legal 500 Hall of Fame in Finance and Commercial Lending and received the St. Ignatius College Prep Law Society “Award for Excellence in the Field of Law” in 2020.

Myers is a member of Gibraltar Industries’ (NASDAQ: ROCK) Board of Directors, where she chairs the Nominating, Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and serves on the Audit and Risk Committee, the Capital Allocation and Asset Management Committee, and the Compensation and Human Capital Committee. She is also a member of LCI Industries’ (NYSE: LCII) Board of Directors, where she chairs the Corporate Governance, Nominating and Sustainability Committee and sits on the Risk Committee and the Strategy, Acquisition and Capital Deployment Committee. Additionally, Myers holds a seat on the board of Marex Group plc (NASDAQ pending: MRX), where she chairs the Remuneration Committee and sits on the Audit and Compliance Committee. Myers also serves on the advisory board of Kinzie Capital Partners, a women-founded private equity fund based in Chicago.

Myers enthusiastically supports marquee professional, educational, civic, and cultural organizations. She serves on the boards and has done pro bono legal work for the Lyric Opera of Chicago and The Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Myers earned her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
