Affordable Housing: Preservation at a Crossroad

Enterprise Community Development to host panel discussion on how the pandemic has impacted the housing market Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Investment interest in affordable housing communities has reached an all-time high due to historically low interest rates. A flood of capital has entered the Mid-Atlantic market pushing affordable property sales to a 10-year high with market cap rates at all-time lows. New buyers are entering the Mid-Atlantic market hoping to achieve these projected high returns. How will this shift the market? Is this good or bad?

Enterprise Community Development (ECD), the largest Black-led and Mid-Atlantic nonprofit housing provider and fifth-largest non-profit affordable housing provider in the country, will host “Affordable Housing: Preservation at a Crossroad,” a panel discussion on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. led by industry professionals on the current housing market in the pandemic to address these topics and more.
