Health and wellness boutique offers full complement of cryotherapy, cryo skin, infrared sauna and slim sculpt services designed to detox, lose weight, tone body, and enhance healing
Health and wellness boutique Revive Cryo Spa has signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for space at Freedom Village Shopping Center, a nearly 130,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center situated at 6300 Georgetown Boulevard in Eldersburg, Maryland. Baltimore-based CRC is a vertically-integrated real estate investment and management company active in 11 states with more than $3.7 billion Assets Under Management (AUM). Dominique Threatt, Leasing Representative, Commercial for CRC, represented the landlord and S. Nicole McCoy, CBN Real Estate Corporation, Inc. represented the tenant in this lease transaction. The practice intends to relocate to the center from its existing location on Liberty Road by late spring or early summer.
Founded by Brian Taylor more than seven years ago, Revive Cryo Spa offers a full complement of cryotherapy, cryo skin, infrared sauna, and slim sculpt services designed to help people detox, lose weight, tone their body, and enhance healing.
Cryotherapy exposes the body to temperatures hovering around negative 150 degrees dropping a person’s core temperature by approximately 40 degrees. According to Taylor, this alternative therapy is utilized to tame body inflammation, speed up the recovery from injuries, enhance sleep and contribute to mood boosting. The average time spent in cryotherapy is approximately three minutes per session and Taylor recommends visiting the spa two to three times each week.
“The process causes the release of endorphins which are the body’s natural pain inhibitors, and the resultant enhanced circulation activity moves blood into and out of the core, clears toxins and metabolic waste with a supply of oxygen and nutrient-enriched blood,” Taylor explained. “Cryotherapy is getting a great deal of exposure based on its use and endorsement by professional athletes and celebrities, but Revive Cryo Spa was created to counter the premise that this process is only available to the rich or famous. People of all ages can benefit from cryotherapy and the cost is extremely affordable,” he added.
Taylor said that while Revive Cryo Spa has built up “a tremendous and loyal following in and around Carroll County,” the move to Freedom Village Shopping Center is intended to “enhance our practice based on the center’s cotenancy.”
“Freedom Village Shopping Center is among the most popular shopping destinations in Carroll County, and the venue became even more attractive to us following the opening of Grocery Outlet which creates significant traffic throughout the week,” Taylor said. “We believe we can leverage customers from those visiting Physical Therapy Group and Advanced Orthopedics too.”
Freedom Village Shopping Center is anchored by Grocery Outlet, a high-growth, extreme value retailer of name-brand consumables and fresh products which opened within 22,000 square feet of space late last year. Situated near the intersection of MD Route 26 (Liberty Road) and Georgetown Boulevard, Freedom Village is also anchored by Goodwill Industries and Centers for Advanced Orthopedics and features more than 20 stores, including Panera Bread and Celebree School. The center is now 92 percent leased.
“With health concepts like Revive Cryo Spa on the rise, there’s a growing demand for unique and effective wellness solutions,” highlighted Kristina O’Keefe, CRC’s Vice President, Commercial Division. “Given its outstanding track record, incorporating this brand into the lineup at Freedom Village perfectly aligns with our dedication to curating tenants that resonate with the community’s needs and desires. Revive Cryo represents an excellent addition alongside our two established health-focused tenants.”
Nearly 45,000 people reside within a five-mile radius of the Freedom Village, including approximately 15,000 households with an average household income exceeding $125,000.Nearly 30,000 vehicles pass the site daily. The lease elevates occupancy of the Freedom Village center to approximately 98 percent.
