Dean Omar Branham Shirley Attorneys Named to 2024 Texas Rising Stars

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dean Omar Branham Shirley LLP is pleased to announce the selection of attorneys Rachel A. Gross and Sam Iola to the list of Texas Rising Stars for 2024, as published by Thomson Reuters. The list recognizes Texas attorneys who are age 40 or below or have been in practice for 10 years or less.

Ms. Gross, a mesothelioma and traumatic injuries attorney, has been on the Rising Stars list for four years. She also has been recognized on the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 under 40 list each year since 2017.

Mr. Iola’s work on traumatic personal injury cases has led to Texas Rising Stars recognition each of the last seven years. His primary focus is mesothelioma and wrongful death cases. He discusses talc-related litigation in the HBO Max documentary “Not So Pretty.”

“We are happy to have Rachel and Sam recognized as Texas Rising Stars,” said name partner Trey Branham. “The firm is thrilled to have them both onboard along with their legal skills, which contribute to our firm, profession and community.”

In developing the Texas Rising Stars list, Thomson Reuters goes through the same process as it does with Super Lawyers but includes a smaller group of potential nominees. Whereas Super Lawyers represent the top 5% of lawyers in the state, Rising Stars is no more than 2.5%, making the designation very competitive.

The annual compilation is based on professional nominations, evaluations and feedback combined with independent research by the staff of Thomson Reuters. The Super Lawyers sophisticated selection process received a patent in 2013, demonstrating the award’s credibility as an impartial third-party rating system.

The complete listing will appear in the Texas Rising Stars edition of Super Lawyers magazine and at www.Superlawyers.com
