Urban Land Development Welcomes Palmetto Superfoods At 531 Bryant

Urban Land Development, a full-service real estate development firm based in San Francisco, today announced Palmetto Superfoods, a fast-healthy concept bridging Brazilian açaí and California vegan-focused superfoods, has signed a lease at 531 Bryant Street.  Palmetto is slated to open Q2’24.

“Palmetto Superfoods is the first in a series of our F&B experiences that we’re excited to bring to 531 Bryant in the burgeoning South Park SoMa neighborhood – the new work+lifestyle nexus,” said ULD CEO Jon Mayeda. “We also have the opportunity to incorporate Palmetto into our MELA Lounge that brings ‘workstyle’ to a higher level.”

The MELA amenity offers an intimate club experience for tenants to socialize, meet with clients, and hold private events in the club space and on the roof terrace of the building overlooking Downtown and the ballpark. The personal concierge service at 531 also creates individually customized itineraries for nights out on the town: restaurant reservations, live music events, theater bookings, brewery/winery tours, and even community service opportunities.

Palmetto Superfoods, which is known for their signature Brazilian açaí, is a restaurant concept designed around quality and nutritious foods, extensive customization, and top-of-the-line service. The 531 Bryant location will be the 7th store in the Bay Area, including 3rd & Clement, Union Street, and Dolores Park in San Francisco; Primrose Road in Burlingame; Santana Row in San Jose; and Town & Country Village in Palo Alto – with eight more stores in the pipeline.

531 Bryant Rooftop

“We partnered with ULD for the 531 Bryant retail space because this will give us a presence in South Park SoMa and it’s adjacency to Oracle Park – which gives us greater visibility for our catering division for both MELA events and supporting the next three years of San Francisco as it hosts the NBA All-Stars, Super Bowl, and World Cup,” said Charles Lee, Founder & CEO, Palmetto Superfoods. “My Co-Founder & CMO Hessam Shirmohammadi and I are excited to bring a new vibe to the MELA Lounge with intimate events and intriguing collaborations.”

Palmetto Superfoods, a 100% natural first and only build-your-own superfoods bowl/ smoothie brand in the Bay Area is committed to serving the best açaí in quality and taste with a colorful selection of organic Superfood bases and unlimited toppings. There are no added sugars, juices, dairy, or water dilution in the açaí.

ULD’s 531 Bryant Street, located in the vibrant South Park SoMa neighborhood, redefines the office workstyle in the epicenter of tech and innovation — in the midst of dozens of established companies including innovative “unicorn” companies such as Pinterest, Airbnb, Adobe, Splunk, Cruise, Lyft, and Paypal. It is a block from a cluster of venture capital companies, including Accel Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and Kleiner Perkins.

Leasing is led by Chris Roeder, John Norton, and Carlye Parker from JLL.

“The response to all the elements we have been passionate about incorporating into 531 Bryant has been overwhelmingly positive from all our office tours,” remarked ULD Managing Director Susan Sagy. “In today’s workplace, these amenities are indispensable for striking the right balance.”
