Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Provides Pelvic Health Services at New Duxbury Clinic

Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide comprehensive treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, is offering Pelvic Health Services at their new Duxbury Clinic located at 1528 Tremont Street.

Peak has a team of physical therapists who specialize in pelvic health conditions, and provide non-surgical and non-medicinal options for a number of conditions. The therapists evaluate each patient to identify the source of the problem and then develop an individualized treatment plan. The program offers evaluations and treatments for a variety of conditions including bladder and urinary dysfunction, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, and more.

Jeanine Jernegan, PT, is a Women’s Health Specialist at the Duxbury location who received her degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1995. She has completed extensive training in pelvic rehabilitation including through The Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Jernegan treats a wide variety of conditions including pregnancy and postpartum issues, urinary and bowel dysfunction, prolapsed and pelvic pain. She takes a holistic approach to treating patients utilizing exercise and various manual techniques including myofascial release, visceral mobilization and dry needling as appropriate. She is passionate about educating patients and empowering them to be able to resume activities that they enjoy. She also treats patients with TMD.
