Chesapeake Contracting Group Expands with New Office in Northern Virginia

Although COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on the national and local economies, Chesapeake Contracting Group (CCG) continues to engage new development projects and has just opened an office in Northern Virginia. In addition to their headquarters in Baltimore County and an office in Annapolis, the new location will enhance communication between sub-contractors, partners and team members as well as increase community connections, an important corporate goal. For more information about CCG and their current list of innovative projects, go to CCGMD.com.

“We are currently involved with work all throughout the Mid-Atlantic area so it just made sense to add a Northern Virginia office where we will be able to keep our team close and continue to provide our trademark superior service and management,” said Michael Wildey, Vice President, Chesapeake Contracting Group.

Justin Fraser, an accomplished leader in the industry with over thirteen years of construction experience, will play a key role in helping to grow the new Northern Virginia office, located near Dulles Airport. Justin brings his expertise from John Moriarty & Associates, where he has spent the last nine years of his career helping lead the construction of more than 1,500 multi-family apartment units and several thousand square feet of amenity, commercial and retail space. The new Northern Virginia office houses offices for Wildey and Fraser as well as flex space for other employees involved with various projects who will be able to use the space when needed. Some of the current projects underway include Chantilly Porsche, Don Beyer Volvo and Bellview Shopping Center.

Simultaneously, CCG Residential Construction, the multi-family arm of the company, has embarked on phase two of the Remy Apartment Building, a four story, 268- unit apartment community located in Lanham, MD. It is the final portion of a multi-phase mixed-use development by Berman Enterprises, managed by LIVEbe Communities and constructed by CCG Residential Construction. The community includes more than 11,000sf of modern, hip common area amenities including ground level lounges, fitness center, rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the area, relaxing outdoor courtyards featuring a sculpture fountain, swimming pool and BBQ grilling areas. Residential apartment finishes include designer selected premium cabinetry, granite countertops, and energy efficient LED light fixtures throughout. It is set to be completed in June 2022. “We are excited to be working on this multi-family apartment building as it showcases our continued commitment to creating superior quality projects that help build communities,” continued Wildey.
