Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that D. Austin Bersinger has joined the firm’s Policyholder Insurance Coverage team. Licensed in both Georgia and Florida, Mr. Bersinger will be based in the firm’s Atlanta office but will practice out of the firm’s Tampa office as well.

Mr. Bersinger focuses his practice on representing companies in a wide variety of insurance recovery issues, including coverage denials, claim presentation, bad faith matters, and related appeals, as well as complex business disputes. He frequently assists in claim presentations after loss and coverage issues and handles insurance counseling and policy review and has specialized experience doing coverage work for construction companies and cybersecurity coverage and claims. Over the past three years, he has been successful in recovering more than $500 million for clients nationwide. Mr. Bersinger is a frequent author and speaker on insurance coverage topics across the country and has served as a contributor and editor for Georgia Property and Liability Insurance Law, the preeminent authority on insurance coverage in Georgia, published by Thomson Reuters.
After receiving his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, Mr. Bersinger served as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he tried cases as a criminal prosecutor, and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama. He draws on this disciplined military background and deep industry experience to provide a tailored approach to advocating for his clients. Mr. Bersinger has been recognized in Georgia Rising Stars from 2021-2024 and in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® for Insurance Law from 2021-2024.
