Cushman & Wakefield Arranges 69,271-SF Lease for Truist Insurance Holdings

Cushman & Wakefield announced it has arranged a new 69,271-square-foot lease for Truist Insurance Holdings, at 550 South, a Class A office tower in Charlotte’s Uptown submarket. Truist Insurance Holdings is currently occupying the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors.

“We selected a headquarters that will showcase who we are as a company and will demonstrate our commitment to our clients and teammates. In keeping with that goal, our new headquarters provides facilities designed to foster creativity, innovation, and productivity. Equally as exciting, we’re able to bring together our Charlotte-area employees in one location while providing the various segments of our organization with office suites on the three floors we will occupy.” said John Howard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trust Insurance Holdings.

Keith Bell, SIOR and Matt Bowen of Cushman & Wakefield’s Charlotte office represented Truist Insurance Holdings in the lease negotiations. The building is owned by Cousin Properties.

“Uptown is the heartbeat of Charlotte and has the highest concentration of Class A office space. The attraction of the Uptown submarket and available space within 550 South were the perfect match for Truist Insurance Holdings office and business needs. We are proud to have partnered with them to find a new home,” added Bell, Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield.

550 South totals 394,000 square feet. The LEED Silver Certified office tower offers high-efficiency office space with panoramic views of the city, outstanding interstate access, and walkability to the nearby light rail. Additionally, 550 South is near several entertainment, hotel, and dining amenities.
