Tania Lecona Joins KAI at its Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Office

KAI is thrilled to announce the hiring of Tania Lecona, CSI as Design Manager of KAI Design at its Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas office.

Lecona has five years of industry experience with expertise in housing design and unit remodels having worked extensively with housing authorities throughout Texas.

“KAI is delighted to have Tania join our Design team in the DFW office,” said KAI Managing Partner Brad Simmons, FAIA. “Tania’s recent experience with public sector projects, understanding the engagement process and knowledge of project guidelines for community agencies is an essential element of KAI’s Design practice now and in the future. We are fortunate to have her join KAI, adding another talented and proven resource to our Design practice. We look forward to Tania playing an emerging role in client relationship management and growth.”

Prior to KAI, she was an Architectural Project Manager for the Affordable and Multifamily Housing Studio at Quorum Architects, Inc. and a Design Associate at RPGA Design Group, Inc., both in Fort Worth, Texas.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, plus an Associate of Arts from Dallas College. She is currently a board member of the Fort Worth Chapter – Construction Specifications Institute (FWCSI) and she mentors architecture students through the CAMP program of AIAS at CAPPA of UT Arlington.

She and her husband Edward currently reside in Arlington, Texas. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with the Texas Ramp Project and Trinity Habitat for Humanity, swimming, reading, and advocating for social, economic, housing justice, architecture profession awareness, and mentorship.
