Integrity House, one of New Jersey’s largest licensed not-for-profit providers of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and mental health services with programs in Kearny, Newark, Secaucus, Toms River, Morris Plains, and Paramus, has received $6,293.89 from OneDigital as part of their OneDigital DASH fundraiser; these funds will help support Integrity House’s Mobile Community Care (MCC) program.
OneDigital, the nation’s leading insurance brokerage, financial services, and HR consulting firm, raised over $260,000, which was distributed among 27 charities and nonprofits, including Integrity House; the donations were raised by OneDigital employees as part of the 15th annual OneDigital DASH, the company’s signature fundraising event, where participants engage in physical and mental fitness activities while generating awareness for worthy nonprofits.
Funded by the New Jersey Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Integrity’s Mobile Community Care reduces barriers to SUD medications that are proven to be lifesaving. Designed to engage individuals who experience obstacles connecting to care at traditional brick-and-mortar facilities, such as individuals experiencing homelessness, Mobile Community Care enables those in need to connect with clinicians and peer recovery specialists in real time to address their SUD, medical, and recovery needs.
Integrity House uses the mobile unit to travel to targeted areas within the Newark community to perform on-site screenings and assessments for SUD, mental health, physical health, and other needs, and if clinically indicated, immediately prescribe medications to treat SUD. The program also provides care coordination services, harm reduction resources, and recovery support.
