Plymouth Resident Juliette Rose Kerr Publishes Novel

Local author Juliette Rose Kerr announces the release of her book To Fill a Jar with Water, a 282-page novel set against the backdrop of her adopted hometown Plymouth.

The contemporary fictional novel follows two sets of siblings as they navigate the emotional aftermath of childhoods marked by parental neglect and abuse. Kerr’s inaugural book explores addiction and recovery, the epidemic of loneliness, and also touches on spiritual themes.

Many locales mentioned in the novel will be recognized by readers familiar with Plymouth, although they have been renamed in keeping with the fictional element of the story.

To Fill a Jar with Water is now available for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The official book release is scheduled for March 7th.

“I’m excited to share news of my first novel, To Fill a Jar with Water,” said Kerr. “My hope is that it resonates with a wide audience and pulls at many heartstrings.

“That the story is set in Plymouth is also no accident,” Kerr continued.  “It’s my homage to my adopted hometown, which has been the real-life backdrop of some of my most treasured moments and memories.”

Julette Rose Kerr is a Christian spiritual director and end-of-life doula. She holds a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Shakespeare Studies from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
