David Hodge Joins Populous as a Principal in New York City Office

Noted architect brings extensive experience, portfolio in sports and entertainment design 

Populous, a global leader in sports and entertainment architecture and design, today announced that David Hodge has joined the firm as a principal in its New York City office. Bringing over two decades of experience in large-scale sports facility, civic, transportation and mixed-use development, David will further strengthen Populous’ domestic and international sports presence.

Prior to joining Populous, David was a Partner at Rafael Vinoly Architects in New York, where he served in several leadership positions during his career as a leading architect and client liaison, with a focus on project design and delivery, firm management and business development.

David has overseen design and construction for numerous notable projects, including the Manchester City Football Academy in Manchester, United Kingdom; the New York City Football Club Training Facility in New York; the Melbourne City Football Club training facility in Melbourne, Australia; the Rockefeller University Campus Expansion in New York; the Florence Airport in Florence, Italy; the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus in Ashburn, VA; and the MGM Grand in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

David will be based in Populous’ New York City office and is a professionally licensed architect in New York, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Texas. He is also LEED accredited and NCARB certified, an active member of AIA, the U.S. Green Building Council and the Building Technology and Project Delivery Committee.
