Responsible for overseeing all aspects related to food and beverage operations within the hotel, Konan is dedicated to a standard of innovation-driven excellence meeting a variety of tastes
Hotel Revival Baltimore, an award-winning hotel within the New Waterloo portfolio of properties, is thrilled to welcome Lucien “Lu” Konan as its new director of food and beverage.
As director of food and beverage, Konan plays a pivotal role in the culinary experience at Hotel Revival. His approach to menu planning and flavor-forward development caters to the diverse tastes of the hotel’s three food and beverage outlets: Topside, B-Side Cocktails & Karaoke and ‘Dashery.
“Joining Hotel Revival is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a talented team, both in and out of the kitchen, while contributing to a rich tapestry of award-winning establishments,” said Konan. “Cheers to crafting even more memorable moments for diners and guests.”
Konan has excelled in various leadership roles, including most recently in Hartford, Connecticut, as director of outlets at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. His management experience has been built upon years in front and back of house, maintaining a diverse set of restaurant functions, and working for hospitality groups such as For The Food and Marketplace Hospitality Group, both in Connecticut.
With a dedication to the food service industry and track record of fostering positive team relationships, Konan is a valuable addition to Hotel Revival, which prides itself on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Konan has earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ursinus College.
“Given his stellar culinary and management background, Lu shares our approach of welcoming guests who have all kinds of tastes,” said Hotel Revival General Manager Ramond Sneed. “This is an exciting addition to our vibrant food and beverage scene, which spans the hotel from top to bottom and continues to be a major draw for our guests.”
As Hotel Revival prioritizes being a space that is inclusive and welcoming to all, Konan’s role extends into social impact efforts. He oversees Topside’s Zero-Proof, Zero Judgement non-alcoholic cocktail menu, partnerships with local organizations such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and outlet-wide food and drink donation events.
