Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC announced Raymond J. Kane as the firm’s new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Kane, a founding Director of the firm and well-known real estate attorney, will continue to serve clients and maintain a full-time practice that encompasses real estate and real estate finance, corporate, and federal taxation matters, as well as the permitting and operation of compensatory mitigation banks, formed under the Clean Water Act. Kane will succeed outgoing Chair, Robert LeMay.
“It is an honor to once again serve in this leadership capacity,” said Kane. “Having been part of every phase of KRCL’s growth and success over its 32-year history, I am excited to work with our Board of Directors and the next generation of Firm leaders as we continue to navigate the ever-changing business and legal landscapes by aligning our strategic goals and continuing commitment to provide exceptional service to our clients and community.”
In addition, Andrew J. Sarne, a director and litigator in KRCL’s Houston office, will also join the Board. Bringing an extensive background as lead counsel, Sarne has skillfully navigated the defense and prosecution of a diverse array of civil lawsuits. He also works closely with businesses in several sectors, advising them on a variety of risks.
“I look forward to adding to our firm’s leadership and bridging the gap between our rich legacy and our promising future/next generation of leaders,” said Sarne. “I am excited to collaborate with our talented team, embracing fresh perspectives and innovative strategies as we continue guiding our firm towards a dynamic future by building upon the solid foundation already established.”
LeMay will continue to work with the Board as they transition into the new year.
“Ray is a highly esteemed and empathetic leader, instrumental in shaping our firm’s foundational core values. He is perfectly suited to continue advancing our vision for the future,” LeMay remarked. “Ray’s extensive experience, strategic insight, and thorough grasp of our high standards of client service make him an exceptional choice for this role.” LeMay added, “Andrew is a respected leader in the firm and well suited to continue leading the charge for the next generation. He has shown dedication and commitment to our firm’s mission over the years, and I have full confidence that he will do a phenomenal job in this important role.”
