Neb Sertsu Named Chair of Roland Park Place’s Board of Directors

Roland Park Place (RPP), Baltimore’s first and only accredited continuing care retirement community, is pleased to announce Neb Sertsu, director of project development for The Northeast Maglev, as the new chair of its Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors RPP works to ensure the community maintains and executes its mission and values. As the newly appointed chair, Sertsu will lead the charge in upholding the Board’s commitment to RPP residents, emphasizing the benefits of small community living. This includes ensuring every resident’s voice is heard, valuing customized living, fostering a strong sense of community, celebrating new interests, and creating an environment where everyone is familiar with one another.

“I am honored to have Neb take on this leadership position,” said Sam Guedouar, President and CEO at RPP. “With his experience serving in leadership positions for various Baltimore organizations, Neb will play a vital role in advancing Roland Park Place’s goals and values, enriching both our communal living environment and the broader Baltimore community we are a part of.”

Sertsu brings three decades of experience in project development and a deep connection to the growth of the Baltimore community to his role as chair. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to uplifting Baltimore through roles such as director of project development at The Northeast Maglev, vice president of capital planning and campus operations at the University of Baltimore, chair for the Central Baltimore Partnership, board member with the Charles Street Development Corporation, and a member of the Mayor’s Charter Review Commission. Sertsu has been a member of the RPP Board since 2018 and will serve as chair for two years.
