Decker Introduces A New Creative Leadership Team

Over the past two years, a new group of multi-talented thinkers have come together to fill out the Decker creative team.  Different backgrounds, interests, and paths all coming together to create impactful, award-winning work linked by a common goal: to create work that connects.

The new additions began with Creative Director, Dom DeLoya, who has been instrumental in establishing a winning culture and pushing the creative. Dom filled out the team with Alan Duda (Assoc. Creative Director / Art), Adrienne Sullivan (Senior Motion Designer), Brighid Docherty (Senior Designer/Art Director), and Chris Gunderson (Production Artist).

Agency SVP, Strategy & Development Andrew Kesin explains, “Dom and Alan rejoin forces from their time at Sleek Machine in Boston where they brought their uniquely independent approach to work for Boston Celtics, SimpliSafe, B. Good, Hasbro and much more. Since that time both have led the creation of a number of impactful, award-winning campaigns for big and small brands over their 10+ years in the industry.”

Creative Director Dom DeLoya continues, “I think this team is unique. The industry is changing and with that comes new challenges, but also, opportunity to trust our insights and push the work we create. We hear how much advertising has changed but change doesn’t have to mean losing creativity. Are budgets the same as the past? No. But that’s fine, strong ideas can live anywhere and be anything. Strong ideas and smart thinking will always win, no matter what platform it’s on and it’s our job to maximize each project with that in mind. This team embraces that mentality.”

Sullivan and Docherty joined from Glastonbury, Conn.-based Cronin and have quickly established themselves as irreplaceable. “Brighid’s keen, clean sense of design has led to many successful client campaigns while Adrienne’s multi-dimensional approach to motion design has pushed the limits of what Decker is able to offer in digital, social, and broadcast. Chris brings a production artist savvy to the work, a rock-solid team player who continues to bring new thinking to every stage of the project, “ notes DeLoya.

Kesin adds, “Dom was masterful in his approach to assembling a team that is very specifically built for today. Players that can check their ego, understand objectives, wear multiple hats, and continue to bring a real POV to the work regardless of the scope of the project. It’s been refreshing and exciting to see it all come together.”

With change and a hunger for good work comes recognition and the new team is already making a splash with their work across all clients. This culminated in what could only be referred to as a ‘clean sweep’ at the 68th annual Connecticut Ad Club awards held last month. That night Decker took home 7 Gold awards including Best of Show and an additional 21 assorted awards along the way.

“All of the recognition for our work is great. But this isn’t where it stops. We want more and we believe we will keep climbing,” says DeLoya.
