Greenville County Square Welcomes Six New Tenants to $1B Redevelopment Project

Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn are two of the latest to join South Carolina’s most significant economic development project

RocaPoint Partners’ $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment, Greenville County Square, continues to surge with impressive progress in 2023. This year, Greenville County occupied its new 262,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Administrative Building and 1,000-space parking deck. With the County in its new building, the previous structure is being demolished. The roads and infrastructure for the development site are also now under construction.

Leasing for the next phase of the project is also fully underway. Announced earlier this year, the Lima One office lease represents the largest office lease signed in downtown Greenville in 2023. Today, RocaPoint is pleased to announce that Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma will join the project. These leading national kitchen and home furnishings retailers offer high-quality home goods and outstanding customer service. Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn will anchor the retail experience along with Whole Foods Market which was signed earlier this year.

Sports & Social and PBR will also be joining the project. The 23,000-square-foot sports bar and entertainment venue will be The Cordish Company’s first in South Carolina. These fun, high-energy experiences will help anchor the exciting entertainment uses within the project that already include Pins Mechanical and Fairway Social.

Along with retail and entertainment uses, RocaPoint is pleased to announce new food-and-beverage tenants. Recently, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, a high-end steak restaurant, has signed on and will open its first restaurant in South Carolina. Hawkers, a vibrant spot serving authentic Asian street food, and The Salty, a gourmet donut, baked goods and coffee shop, will also open at Greenville County Square. These new restaurants will enhance and complement the already announced restaurants, including Perch Kitchen and Tap, Agave Bandido, Jinya Ramen Bar and Ben & Jerry’s.

“Greenville County Square is moving full steam ahead,” said Patrick Leonard, Principal at RocaPoint Partners. “We’ve seen enormous interest in the project as Greenville continues to be a market that attracts high-quality tenants. With an upswing in population and a desirable quality of life for residents, it’s no surprise companies and retailers are choosing to bring their businesses to this charming downtown, many for the first time.”

Once complete, Greenville County Square will be a dynamic mixed-use community providing a vibrant environment for the community to shop, dine, work, live and explore. Located along University Ridge in downtown Greenville, the development will encompass approximately 3 million square feet of new buildings, creating $1.5 billion in market value upon completion.
