Compass Health Unveils New Brand Identity

Northwest Washington’s behavioral healthcare leader introduces refreshed look, underscoring commitment to advancing whole person health and the wellbeing of those it serves.

EVERETT, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Compass Health today announced the official launch of the non-profit’s new brand, inclusive of a revamped logo and website. The new brand identity reflects Compass Health’s commitment to delivering innovative, evidence-based care to meet Northwest Washington’s growing mental health needs.

For more than a century, Compass Health has evolved to better serve clients and communities across Snohomish, Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom counties. The evolution to the new brand represents the organization’s continued growth and established position as the region’s behavioral healthcare leader.

“When someone walks through our doors, whether it’s a staff member, a client, or one of our community partners, we want them to feel welcome and supported, and to engage with the hope and dignity of our collective work – and our brand is a large part of that, being a part of their first impression of Compass Health,” said Tom Sebastian, president and CEO of Compass Health. “It’s our hope that our refreshed look resonates with both those who are new to our organization, and those who have been closely connected to Compass Health for a long time. We hope our new brand embodies what our organization means to the many people we interact with.”

Following the launch of the new brand identity, signage, collateral and more across Compass Health locations will undergo a refresh to become uniform with the organization’s updated look. Compass Health’s website has also been redesigned to reflect the new brand and current priorities of the organization – and ensure visitors can readily engage with information about accessing services, behavioral health topics and community-focused news.

The new brand was developed through a multi-year process that involved input and feedback from a host of stakeholders, including staff members and external partners, to ensure it supports the current image, and the vision, of the organization.

“The amount of engagement from team members and other key partners who have contributed to this process has been inspiring,” said Jaki Brophy, director of marketing and communications at Compass Health. “Not only did we have robust feedback, there was also a clear through line of common themes, showing a true shared vision of the evolved brand for Compass Health. It’s been exciting to see enthusiasm along the way and finally, at launch, for this new brand as it springs to life.”

From that process, Compass Health aligned on a logo that conveys the hope, compassion, respect and support that the organization represents to many. Some of the elements incorporated into the new brand to communicate these sentiments include:

  • Approachable and warm: As a behavioral health organization, Compass Health knows asking for help can be daunting, which is why great emphasis was put on ensuring the new brand feels approachable and inviting.
  • Expressive with lots of color: Compass Health provides a spectrum of services, at various levels of intensity, to a range of clients. Its team connects teens to supports for anxiety and depression, provides inpatient care to adults with severe behavioral health disorders, and nearly everything in between. Compass Health is also intentionally broadening the diversity of its staff and reinforcing a culture of belonging through active diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) efforts. This new brand represents that.
  • Modern with clean, soft lines: It was important to the Compass Health team that the new brand reflects the organization’s drive toward forging new, nationally recognized models of care, while also embodying the sophistication of its care teams and the dignity and respect with which it views its clients.

“We believe this new brand captures who we are as an organization today and the role we’re proud to play in the communities we serve, honoring not only our longstanding history but also our bright future ahead,” added Sebastian. “On behalf of our entire organization, we’d like to thank all of the stakeholders and partners who contributed to this effort, sharing their expertise, perspectives and candid feedback to help us align on a unified vision.”
