Concentra, the nation’s largest provider of occupational medicine, announced today the opening of their newest Baltimore County location in Rosedale at 8675 Pulaski Highway.  The new 10,400 square footstate-of-the-art medical center replaces an older location just a mile away on Pulaski Highway and offers modern digital X-ray equipment, additional exam rooms, a larger physical therapy space, and more.

On Wednesday, November 8 at Concentra (8675 Pulaski Highway, Rosedale), local government, business and civic leaders will gather for a grand opening breakfast reception beginning at 10 a.m. The brief speaking program will include remarks from the following and close with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

  • Concentra Vice President of Operations MaiyaLaVerdure
  • Concentra Medical Director Dr. Sean Duffy
  • Maryland Secretary of Commerce Kevin Anderson
  • Baltimore County Council Chair Julian Jones

“We’re excited to be opening this new medical center that will provide care to tens of thousands of area employees annually,” said Concentra Vice President of Operations Mayia LaVerdure.  “Each year, the costs associated with work-related injuries and disabilities impact company bottom lines. A cost-efficient, outcomes-driven occupational medicine program can reduce costs by keeping employees healthy and the workplace safe, but not all programs are created equally.  At Concentra, we have proven that our programs work – reducing costs while delivering industry-leading care,” added LaVerdure.

“Our physicians are trained in occupational medicine.  We diagnose and treat work-related injuries much more effectively than most primary care physicians,” said Concentra Medical Director Dr. Sean Duffy.  “We’re up to date on federal and state regulations for workforce health and safety, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), so we can make the best treatment plans and perform regulatory examinations. Because of our training and expertise, we are well equipped to manage costs in a way that other physicians are not,” he added.
