In South Florida, there’s only one holiday feeling better than the festive Winterfest Boat Parade and that’s knowing your watch party seat will benefit Children’s Harbor, a nationally accredited non-profit agency with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in the community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.
On Saturday, December 16, Children’s Harbor will host its annual Winterfest Boat Parade watch party with a front-row seat to the Parade route along the Intracoastal from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Grateful Palate and Shooters, 3003 NE. 32nd Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
Tickets to the Children’s Harbor Winterfest Viewing Party are $250. To purchase, click here.
This year, Children’s Harbor has expanded seating to an outdoor area. Indoor and outdoor seating provides a front row seat to the parade route along the Intracoastal Waterway.
“We are excited to be adding space to accommodate even more guests as this is one of the most popular Winterfest Boat Parade events,” Children’s Harbor CEO Tiffani Dhooge said. “The funds raised benefit at-risk children and families in our community.”
Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner, open bar, raffle and reserved seating for the parade. Sponsorships are now available. For more information, email events@childrensharbor.org.
“It’s a great way for sponsors to host a memorable VIP evening for their clients, employees or friends, while meeting their philanthropic goals and benefiting one of their favorite charities” Dhooge added.

About Children’s Harbor
Established in 1996, Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited non-profit agency with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.
With the belief that children should feel safe, that family is worth fighting for and that cycles can be broken, Children’s Harbor provides a harbor of hope and healing for children who have been impacted by the trauma of child abuse. The main campus in Pembroke Pines provides a supportive family environment for teenagers in foster care and their younger siblings. The family strengthening program prevents kids from coming into foster care by providing in-home counseling and support to families who are struggling in the community. Those who have aged out of foster care are provided with housing, life skills and the wrap-around support necessary to overcome their trauma and navigate through the early stages of adulthood through independent living programs.
Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community that offers on-site staff, training, and wrap-around support services for young adults who have aged out of the foster care system, ages 18-23, helping to bridge the gap from dependence to independence.
