The national law firm of Baker Donelson has added tax attorney Charles “Chuck” Goldberg Jr. as of counsel in its Nashville office, growing the Firm’s prominent Tax Group. Mr. Goldberg rejoins the Firm, where he previously practiced in the Jackson, Mississippi office.
With experience advising on tax, mergers and acquisitions, general business law, and estate planning matters, Mr. Goldberg represents individuals and business clients in the areas of state and federal taxation, business transactions, tax controversy, business law, business succession planning, and estate planning. He also has experience navigating the legal landscape for corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. Mr. Goldberg advocates for clients in tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service, the Mississippi Department of Revenue, and other state and local taxing authorities.

Before joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Goldberg served as a senior vice president at a large national wealth management firm, where he advised ultra-high net worth clientele. He utilizes this experience, as well as his background as a certified public accountant, when counseling and advising clients. Mr. Goldberg is a member of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, as well as the American Bar Association – Taxation and Real Property, Trust, and Estate Section. Additionally, he is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Middle Tennessee, and he has repeatedly been selected to Mid-South Rising Stars.
