Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Hosts Tea Party in Honor of Founder’s Birthday at Camp Cedar Hill Sunday, October 29

WHAT: Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts celebrates the organization’s beloved founder Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday, which is October 31, by inviting families and community members to join in on the celebration. Over 110 years ago, Juliette sat down with her cousin, Nina Pape, for afternoon tea and developed her plans to introduce the Girl Scout Movement to the United States. Since then, roughly 2.5 million girls and adults have made up Girl Scouts, and continue to help redefine what’s possible for girls everywhere.

One of Juliette’s main goals was to provide the opportunity for young girls to embrace their unique strengths and inspire them to see their true potential. The vision: encourage the belief that girls can make the world a better place. Since 1912, Girl Scouts have facilitated and fueled movements across the US and confidence in the belief that girls can do anything.

In honor of their founder’s birthday, GSEMA will host a special chance to dress in tea party attire and join them for a birthday celebration. Attendees will have the opportunity to play historical games, make crafts, and enjoy tea, lemonade, and other sweet treats.

This event will take place in the afternoon on October 29 from 2:00pm – 3:30pm at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham.

WHEN: Sunday, October 29, 2023, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

WHERE:
